11 types of pug you will find at PugFest

Hundreds of pugs descended on Birmingham soil yesterday for the annual PugFest gathering. Some may say all pugs look the same, but an experienced eye can differenciate and knows their individual traits make each pug one of a kind.

Here are the 11 types of pug I found at PugFest Birmingham 2016:

The Dreamy Pug gappygobs

1. The Dreamy Pug

Damn this pug is handsome. The sort of pug that is plastered over the walls of teenage girls across the country. A heartbreaker.

The popular Pug gappygobs

2. The Popular Pug

The pug with charisma, he knows the whole dog community by name & can't walk down the street without being stopped for a bum sniff.

3 . The Keen Pug

This pug has no boundaries. He wears his heart on his sleeve, he knows what he wants and won't take no for an answer.

4. The I-dont-want-to-be-here Pug

Unenthused and not interested in making friends, this pug is fed up with your shit.

The Exotic Pug

5. The Exotic Pug

This pug is new on the scene, hailing from a distant land. She has an aluring sense of mystery about her and everyone wants to know her name.

The trendy pug gappygobs

6. The Trendy Pug

This pug has confidence, style and could pull off anything thrown at him. Cone collars are a breeze, nothin' but a fashion accessory.

7. The Thrifty Pug

This pug has creative paws and can find the beauty in anything. His hobbies include turning unwanted finds (such as pens, lolly sticks and hair clips) into desirable items and spends many a happy hour re-arranging said toy collection.

8. The Geriatric Pug

Living a slower pace of life, this pug has seen it all. Dogs of all breeds seek guidance from this wise elder.

9. The Pug With a Sweet Ride

This pug won't let anything hold him back and is working hard on his moves down the skate park.

10. The Cuddly Pug

This pug is in touch with her senses; a true cuddle connoisseur. Belly strokes, ear rubs galore, she can't get enough. One day, she hopes to be painted like one of those french girls.

11. The Hungry Pug

Ahh, last but not least, the most prevelant type of pug there is; the hungry pug. Found on many kitchens floors across the land, this pug has his 'sad eyes' mastered and can turn on the cute in an instant. With extensive qualifications in acting, his favourite roleplays include 'Please, I Need a Bite of Your Sausage' and 'Feed me, I Haven't Eaten In a Week.'

Wilma and I had a great time at PugFest Birmingham!

She didn't seem to mind her homemade 3-headed-pug costume too much, finding it amusing when the other puggies couldn't distinguish one head from another. She particularly enjoyed freaking out the handful of pugs that were wary of it.

If you would like to attend a PugFest, there's a full list of upcoming events on their website. You don't have to own a pug to attend, so take it as the perfect opportunity to ogle all the squishy-faced pugs of your dreams.

What types of pugs have you found out and about?
